So I’ve been having a rough time lately, a lot of let downs and feelings of disconnection from old friends. And whilst yes, that’s life, it was getting to me, just call me Eeyore.
Thankfully yesterday I had the chance to meet up with a friend from Bavaria. We decided to meet at a half way point between us which just so happens to be the beautiful city of Würzburg. Since this wasn’t the first time there for either of us we didn’t hit the main sights, Fortress , Residence, Cathedral etc (though I would recommend them wholeheartedly to anyone who hasn’t explored them yet) instead preferring wander the city centre and to hit the Christmas market. It turned out to be a crazy cold day, all the more reason to frequent cozy coffee shops, do a little Christmas shopping and most importantly chat. It’s amazing the power of a face to face conversation, we didn’t solve any world problems or anything but I gained some much needed perspective.
So whilst the sky remained white and stubbornly refused to snow, I came home bouncing like Tigger.
Hey!! Awesome you were able to turn things around!! Eeyore days suck. Beautiful pictures! I am dreaming of the day I can go to a Christmas Market!
They are pretty great, hope you get to experience one this year!
Sorry to hear you’re having a bit of a rough patch. I hope things turn around for you soon.
That Christmas market is so cute, the ones here in Madrid aren’t as ‘Christmassy.’
Thank you, Germany does do Christmas Markets well
